Winter Park Farmers’ Market Wedding Venue: Ultimate Guide

Winter Park Farmers’ Market is just as charming as the city of Winter Park, which is known for having an urban suburban feel. As if you just stepped into a watercolor painting, Winter Park in general is punctuated with brick winding streets, Spanish moss, sprawling oak and camphor trees, while simultaneously welcoming the liveliness of modern boutiques, 5 star bistros, and family friendly festivals. The Winter Park Farmers’ Market embodies this same quaint Americana feel, with its history as the former train depot. As Central Florida wedding photographers, we are always delighted to capture weddings at the Winter Park Farmers’ Market!

The original brick walls and wood sliding doors are just part of this venue’s southern artisanal charm. Nestled in the heart of the city, the venue and its historical train tracks are located next to the Central Park West Meadow. Furthermore, the venue overlooks Winter Park’s famous Park Avenue strip. This conveniently located venue is perfect for the couple looking for an alluring and unique wedding venue, which embodies Southern charm with artisanal elements, and an enchanting location

Wedding Sites Available at Winter Park Farmers’ Market:

1. Indoor Event Space

The main attraction and the heart of the venue itself is the air conditioned 2800 square foot indoor event space. Equipped with a prep kitchen, which, includes: a commercial refrigerator, an ice machine and ample space for your caterer. Another vital draw to this venue is the fact that they allow you to work with any insured wedding professionals, including caterers! This indoor event space seats 180 people total.

Brick walls, concrete floors, and scaffolding ceilings create an industrial and vintage feel, which is balanced with warm woods, market lights, and farmhouse sliding doors. These farmhouse sliding doors run down the length of one entire side of this space. These wooden sliding doors are a reminder that this building was once the Winter Park Train Depot. In contrast to the wood sliding door, the opposite side is dotted with several windows, leaving an entire side of the building with no windows. This architectural dynamic creates a dark and moody vibe. Want to lighten the mood? Uplighting can be brought in to create depth and allow for a colorful ambiance to match your wedding decor.

Utilize the venues’ round tables or their 8 foot banquet tables to create the layout and feel you’re envisioning (more details on event rental below). Banquet tables can run down the center and length of the event space or round tables can be set up in the middle and/or framing the ballroom. You also have the option to mix round and banquet tables for your Winter Park Farmers’ Market wedding reception indoor seating. This space is where most receptions take place and those who want an indoor ceremony! An outdoor patio cocktail hour can be utilized to flip this space and transform it into your wedding reception.

2. Outdoor Patio

The attached covered outdoor patio is where many Winter Park Farmers’ Market wedding ceremonies take place. The patio itself features a concrete floor, black rod iron railings, a walk up ramp, as well as, a metal roof with drop down lighting, and ceiling fans. Framed by palm trees and attached to the main event space, it’s intimate and accommodating! The ramp and stairs make the space convenient for all your guests to access. Truly a blank and sturdy canvas for your ceremony or cocktail hour if you’re getting married off site!

For ceremonies, backdrops are popular to place at the end of the aisle to frame you and your fiance as you recite vows in front of family and friends. Flowing drapery is another brilliant option, allowing the greenery and natural light surrounding the venue to shine. Winter Park Farmers’ Market wedding venue provides 120 white folding chairs for your patio ceremony, yet the patio itself can seat up to 100 wedding guests. If you plan on hosting your cocktail hour on the patio, the venue also has 3 complimentary high top tables for this space. Not interested in utilizing this space for your ceremony or your cocktail hour? Couples can get creative and use this space for their photo-booth, a kids breakout area, dessert stations in the winter months and more!

3. Fenced Parking Lot

For larger weddings and events, the venue also boasts an outdoor fenced in parking lot. This huge space can be utilized for tented seating for an outdoor event. This side of the building has electricity access and is also where guests will park.

4. Railroad Side of the Building

A fantastic alternative to the covered patio, this area is a beautiful and open air space for ceremonies! Say your vows under the two enormous trees that border the edge of this ceremony sphere. Featuring a brick paver walkway leading up to the bench between the trees where your wedding party can stand with you. This space is a natural ceremony site and flows beautifully! Keep in mind, this outdoor area doesn’t have electricity, yet the view of the Winter Park Farmers’ Market painted sign and original load in docks are timeless.
