Mission Inn Resort Wedding Venue: Ultimate Guide

When you’re thinking of the Central Florida area, you don’t often hear of Howey-in-the-Hills. It’s a small town close enough to the busy I4 corridor, but far enough West to drive through some nice countryside and no highways to contend with in order to get there. Mission Inn Resort and Spa is a perfect combination of hotel, golf course, and wedding venue with epic Spanish Vibes.

We asked one of Mission Inn’s Wedding Sales Team what they wanted everyone to know about the resort and they said, “We want everyone to know that no two weddings are alike! We are completely open and flexible to all different details/personal touches. It’s YOUR wedding and we want to be as accommodating as possible.”

Wedding sites available at Mission Inn Resort

  1. Legends Courtyard and BallroomAt this location of the resort the ceremony often happens under a large tree and in front of a beautiful fountain. The courtyard is a lovely outdoor space that allows for lots of customization. A lot of couples use the glow of the market lights to hold their post-ceremony cocktail hour and some even rent furniture or provide games for their guests to play. The Legends Ballroom for your reception sits overlooking the beautiful golf course. It has floor to ceiling windows too which lets a lot of natural light in. It has plenty of space for larger receptions but can also be used for smaller more intimate weddings.

2. Plaza de las Palmas, Plaza de la Fontana and La Hacienda

This is their most popular spot for weddings! After you see the pictures below, I’m sure you’ll see why. It’s very classically Spanish and has plenty of natural details so it doesn’t need a lot of decor. If you’re looking to do a first look Plaza de las Palmas is a great location. It’s private and perfect for a first look between you and your new spouse, with a balcony around the top of the plaza photographers can also get some nice shot looking down on this special moment. It also features a killer black iron gate you can use for nice photo of your dress before you hop into it.

Generally couples have their ceremony outdoors at Plaza de la Fontana and their reception indoors in the larger restaurant called La Hacienda. During the reception guests can watch the sun set behind the sweetheart table as the wedding party toasts to your new couple! It has a unique split floor plan as well which features the dance floor on the main floor and then a couple of steps down to the seating area so all of your guests can see you break it down on the dance floor.

Our Favorite Wedding Photography Locations at Mission Inn Resort

We really love being able to have a little fun with our couples. At Mission Inn Resort they offer couples a golf cart ride around the resort after the ceremony with their photographer to capture all of the amazing locations on property. Generally we first go to the stone bridge on the golf course. This little stone bridge its really cute some some candid walking shots. We then like to go to the big bridge and check out what the flowers are doing in that area (all depends on the season). We usually try to make a quick stop on a little walking path where you can get an image with the resort in the background, then last but not least we usually head to the fountain to capture more loved up pics of cute couples there. So many places, so make sure you give your photographers enough time to go an explore this great venue with you and find all the cool little areas to get some stunning wedding photography.
